Artist statement for reflections
The second image is Bucky balls ( magnetic balls) that I rolled into a cylinder and then had a light shine through making just the tops of the magnets reflect. I have done this before and always wanted to capture the look of it. It is also interesting how the magnets don't close in on each other and are able to stay in a cylinder shape. I have aways enjoyed finding cool reflections in odd things. Also in the Bucky balls it looks like a egg patch for really small animal because all of the magnets reflect off each other.

Story for Shadow one: :) In this photo you see the object making the shadow and the shadow. The reason I added the arrow to the shadow is because I thought it would be funny that the shadow had a arrow going through the head but the actual head did not. I was also able to try out tricks on how to match the color of the shadow and arrow that we learned in class. Finally I put the arrow through his head because of the many gag toys of arrows going throw peoples heads. This is a fake arrow going through his head like the toys.
Replacement. I Choose BB-8 to be my main object because he was the main droid in the new star wars movie. I put R2-D2 as his shadow because BB-8 kind of replaced R2-D2 in the movies. This shows the past and the present movies. And how the movies have changed over time. Lastly I thought it was ironic how the shadow of the new droid was the one of which he replaced
